I saw Pulsars at my local pharmacy a year ago and was turned off initially at the price and wastefulness of the idea of tossing out a toothbrush every 3 or 4 months.
But I must confess, I finally broke down and bought them because
1. At about $4 each they are the about the same price as replacement brush heads for the more expensive wall charged Oral B electric toothbrushes
2. I don't need an ugly charger in my bathroom or to lug around with me when I travel
3. The pulsars are a LOT slimmer than the Oral B battery toothbrush that uses a AA battery (which I had and hated it's ergonomics and travel size)
4. I just love the feeling of having a new shiny fresh toothbrush every few months, it feels like a real treat for me
5. The Pulsar is the quietest of all the electric toothbrushes I have tried- wall powered, or AA battery powered.
6. The pulsar has VERY powerful vibrations, just as good in my opinion as the wall charged toothbrushes I have used
7. Battery dies about the time you would want to replace the toothbrush bristles anyway
I love, love, love this toothbrush. I smile when I see it in my medicine cabinet, and I smile when I pull it out of my toiletry bag in hotels when I travel (mostly because I am not lugging around an accompanying wall charger!)

I personally love the feeling after brushing my teeth with this one! I've always needed soft bristle toothbrushes due to sensitive gums. Actually my husband and I had these, one blue, one pink. The issue is that the bristles are tougher than they should be. After buying a new one (my old one took an accidental dive into the toilet), I woke up with sore spots on the roof of my mouth. I thought it was nothing considering my history of sensitive tissue. After going to my dentist for a routine cleaning, I left with a diagnosis. Severe gum trauma. Apparently Oral-B doesnt properly classify these. The diameter of the bristles is what makes them soft, medium, and hard. The soft lest severe abrasions to the gumline and a small part on the roof of my mouth. Remember, I loved my toothbrush, but ask your dentist before using this. They are the ones with the knowledge. Everyone is different. There might be other similar toothbrushes to these that your dentist would recommend for you personally.
